STREET FIGHTER II

STREET FIGHTER II '91 by Capcom

Street Fighter II is an extremely popular, if not the most popular, Japanese arcade game from Capcom. It is the most successful and well-known part of the fighting game series of the same name. After its first release on the Capcom Play System in February 1991, Street Fighter II was ported to various platforms over the decades and reissued several times.

In 1993, two years after its launch, gross sales of over $1.5 billion were generated, and in 1994, the game was played by over 25 million people in the U.S. at home and in arcades. Adjusted for inflation, it is estimated that all versions of Street Fighter II generated more than $10 billion in revenue, making it one of the highest-grossing video games of all time.
